How Certitur Calculates Certification Validity for Buildings or Complexes
Since each property may be certified on different dates, Certitur applies a specific formula to calculate the certification validity period for the entire building:
Formula: A grace period of one month is provided from the date of the first property’s certification to allow the remaining properties to complete their audits.
For example, if the first property is audited on 1/1/24, the user has until 1/2/24 to complete audits for the remaining properties (1-month grace period).
Within the grace period: If the last property audit is completed within the one-month grace period, the building or complex certification dates will align with this final audit date.
Example: If the last property is audited on 15/1/24, then the building or complex will be certified from 1/1/24 to 15/1/25.
Outside the grace period: If the last property audit is completed after the one-month grace period, the building’s certification will use the grace period end date as the certification end date.
Example: If the first property is audited on 1/1/24 and the last property audit is completed on 1/3/24, the building or complex will still be certified from 1/1/24, but the end date will be set to 1/2/25 (using the grace period end date).
This approach allows for a flexible certification timeline, accommodating different property audit dates while ensuring all properties in a building or complex meet Certitur's certification standards within a defined timeframe.
